Certification Registry
Nominate a Business for Certification
Any party may submit a nomination for a Singapore-registered business to be considered for Data Bureau (Singapore) certification. Nominations are reviewed by Data Bureau (Singapore)'s assessment team. Submission does not guarantee assessment or certification.
Member of the Public
If you have dealt with a Singapore business and believe it merits independent verification — or if you want to flag a business for assessment — you may submit a nomination here. Data Bureau (Singapore) reviews all nominations and determines whether to proceed with an assessment.
A Business Nominating Another Business
If your business has a commercial relationship with another Singapore-registered business and believes it warrants independent verification, you may submit a nomination on its behalf. Certification itself is administered through appointed agents.
A Recognised Partner
If you are a Recognised Partner, this is the form to share with businesses you are referring into the certification process. Enter your Partner Reference Code in the form to ensure your referral is attributed correctly.
What Happens After a Nomination
Review
Data Bureau (Singapore) reviews all nominations to determine whether the business meets the threshold for assessment. Not all nominations result in an assessment being initiated.
Contact
Where Data Bureau (Singapore) determines an assessment is appropriate, the nominated business will be contacted by an appointed agent to begin the application process.
No obligation
Submission of a nomination creates no obligation on the nominated business to apply for certification, and no obligation on Data Bureau (Singapore) to proceed with an assessment.
Confidential
Nomination submissions are treated as confidential. The identity of the nominating party is not disclosed to the nominated business without the nominator's consent.

About the Independent Authority Certificate
The Independent Authority Certificate is Data Bureau (Singapore)'s independently verified credential for Singapore-registered businesses. It is issued following a multi-source assessment across business legitimacy, director integrity, financial standing, and consumer trust indicators. Any business holding an Independent Authority Certificate is listed in the public Certified Business Registry and may be verified at any time, at no cost, by any party.
