Public Consultations

Data Bureau (Singapore) publishes proposed certification standards for public comment before adoption. Responses from industry practitioners, sector associations, and affected parties are considered in the revision process. Finalised standards are published following review by the Management Committee.

Consultation Process — Overview

Draft Published

Data Bureau (Singapore) publishes the proposed standard as a Draft Consultation Document. The document is open for public comment for a defined period.

Comment Period

Interested parties submit written responses via the consultation submission form. All substantive responses are reviewed by Data Bureau (Singapore)'s standards team.

Revised Draft

Where responses raise material issues, a Revised Draft is published incorporating Data Bureau (Singapore)'s considered response. A second comment period may be opened.

Final Adoption

Upon approval by Data Bureau (Singapore)'s Management Committee, the Final Standard is published. It becomes available for implementation and replaces any prior Draft.

Pilot Programme

Before a new certification standard is finalised, Data Bureau (Singapore) may invite a limited cohort of organisations to participate in a structured pilot. Pilot participants apply the draft framework under real conditions. Findings from the pilot inform the final standard before it is adopted.
